Studio-808 is announcing the first ever “Accessories Style Lounge” showcasing Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 accessory lines from a select list of emerging Chicago brands. A shopping suite filled with fashion, fun and the perfect pieces to compliment any wardrobe from Chicago’s creative set.
This Chicago Fashion Focus event is hosted by Melissa Maynard De Kerch, editor of Factio magazine, and will feature music by DJ Megan Taylor of Fig Media.

Sidewalk Sale at Daley Plaza Recap

Le Jardin De L’Amour – we Amour!
As one of the finale events to Fashion Focus Chicago 2009, designer Borris Powell produced one of the most creative and uniquely refreshing shows I’ve ever seen – Le Jardin De L’Amour (Garden of love). Powell is truly a master of creating a glamourous and flattering silhouette. The ambiance was brilliant – that of a lovely french garden scene, focused lighting with seated models draped in luxurious satin dresses as a static fixture to the runway.
This Spring/Summer 2010 runway collection made use of the ever popular rosette from the cocktail length monotone looks to the swimwear line and finally as a finale evening wear line of which even Valentino would be jealous.
Inspired by the masterful shapes of Christian Dior, Powell’s trademark silhouettes have the comforting familiarity of his early authentic family memories mixed with a chic nod to high-end city life.
