Gap Logo Dilemma
As of yesterday Gap officially changed back its logo to the iconic navy square that has been around for decades. What prompted this quick switch less than a week after the reveal of the brand’s new logo? An outcry from the viral community.
Here is what Gap’s president had to say:
This logo dilemma brings up brand new issues about how much input customers should have when big brands decide to make these kind of image changes. What do you think of the logos? Should customers be the ones deciding the image of the brand?
And the next H&M designer is…
Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz & Lucas Ossendrijver

The collection, including both women’s and men’s looks, will hit 200 stores November 20th. The first chance we will get a glimpse is expected to be November 2nd.
Here is what Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz had to say, “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”
Are you excited about this new collaboration?
Kardashians for QVC

The sisters we love to keep up with, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian are are joining forces with QVC and have created a new lined called K-Dash by Kardashian.
This line will include cloths and accessories. Everything from belts and handbags to leggings, tunics and faux fur-trimmed vests. Prices will range from $20-$240. The line will debut on QVC as part of Fashion’s Night Out, live from New York’s Rockefeller Center on Friday, September 10th at 9PM EST. Along with the Kardashians designers Bradley Bayou, Marc Bouwer, Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant, who will be launching her MOD collection, and Isaac Mizrahi will be taking part in the QVC Fashion’s Night Out event.

Did You Know…
that you can buy Christian Siriano at Payless?
There is nothing I love more than a good deal. Even better is a good deal on designer digs, which is why I am loving Project Runway winner Christian Siriano’s collection for Payless.
Siriano is part of the Fall 2010 Designer Collections at Payless. His collection includes a variety of heels, flats, boots, and bags. Here are a few of my favorites!

Studio-808, Inc. is the brainchild of Erin Creaney, a PR executive with a near-athletic enthusiasm for emerging designers. Finding herself searching the city for great designers with new and different looks, she knew a larger operation was in order. What's more, she felt the world needed to know about the fashion percolating in the Windy City. Thus was born Studio-808.com.
