Men’s Must Have Accessories

By: Evelyn
Having been a little bias towards women’s fashion these days. I decided to compile a list of men’s must haves for spring with a little help from GQ Magazine.

1. Boat Shoes

Cole Haan $148 www.colehaan.com

These shoes are both traditional and functional. They can be dressed up or dressed down. With fun new colors popping up all over any guy can really add some flair and fun to his wardrobe.

2. Plaid

J. Press $25 www.jpressonline.com

Plaid is the pattern of the year. For spring and summer plaid is an easy way to add a pop of color into a man’s wardrobe. One fun way to accessorize with this trend is with a plaid pocket square.

3. Straw Fedora

H&M $7.95 (Best Deal!) Check www.hm.com for location availability.

Every season needs a hat and this season’s hat is a straw fedora. Recently popular has been the felt fedora. With the increasing temperatures a felt fedora would become increasingly uncomfortable. A popular trend in straw fedoras are ones with narrow brims. Also known as “stingy” fedoras.

4. Bright Watch Faces

Victorinox Swiss Army Men's "Convoy" Strap Watch $275 www.macys.com

Another fun way to add a touch of color is through your watch. This trend is also a unique way to show off a little bit of your personality while wearing your conservative business apparel.

5. Bright Striped Ties

Robert Talbott 'College Stripe' Woven Silk Tie $85 www.nordstrom.com

A striped tie is always in style. Trade up your traditional striped tie for one with bright bold colors. A bold tie can make an old suite look youthful again.

About Studio-808 Headline
Studio-808, Inc. is the brainchild of Erin Creaney, a PR executive with a near-athletic enthusiasm for emerging designers. Finding herself searching the city for great designers with new and different looks, she knew a larger operation was in order. What's more, she felt the world needed to know about the fashion percolating in the Windy City. Thus was born Studio-808.com.
