The 27th American fashion industry’s annual award Dinner was hosted by Comedian Tracey Ullman…and thankfully didn’t shy away from the impact the current times are having on the fashion industry. Thank goodness someone is saying it…
“Ms. Ullman, the comedian, was recruited for the unenviable task of serving as hostess of the American fashion industry’s annual awards night, in a year when most designers are struggling to hold onto their briefs. So she was dressed as a rich housewife of Madison Avenue, lurking in an imaginary back alley behind the Hermès store and transferring her ostentatious purchases into a plastic shopping bag from Duane Reade, a spoof on one of Kathy Fuld’s covert spending sprees” writes Eric Wilson from thr NY Times.
